FIT Feedback Informed Treatment Model

MyOutcomes uses the FIT or Feedback Informed Treatment Model. A premium Measurement Based Care approach designed to monitor the effectiveness of the therapeutic process and alliance from the client’s perspective.

The FIT model includes these components:

  • two easy-to-use digital 4-point scales (see ORS and SRS)
  • a client facing mobile App
  • digital access to scale data
  • a predictive algorithm that interprets the data (see SPI)
  • a Client Progress Dashboard

The Science

MyOutcomes features the Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT), based on the science of Dr. Scott E. Miller and his associates. FIT is a comprehensive approach that emphasizes the client’s perspective to enhance engagement and strengthen the therapeutic relationship.

FIT includes a predictive algorithm called the Success Probability Index (SPI), along with two measures: the Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) and the Session Rating Scale (SRS).

The Success Probability Index (SPI) is an innovative feature that enhances therapeutic effectiveness by providing clinicians and clients with a dynamic understanding of treatment progress. The SPI provides real-time insights into a client’s likelihood of achieving a positive therapeutic outcome.

How it works – the SPI calculates the probability of success for clients based on their Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) and Session Rating Scale (SRS) scores. That is, at any particular session (e.g., session 3), the algorithm compares the client’s score with those of others in that same session in the database. From this comparison, the SPI predicts the likelihood of a successful outcome at the end of treatment as a percentage above or below the norm.

Why is this important? Objective perspectives are a counter balance to one’s subjective view of the client care process and status.
